Strengthening professional connection and technical exchange between STARS Water Center and HM.CLAUSE Vietnam Co., Ltd.

In the context of water resources facing increasing pressure from climate change, saltwater intrusion, and the growing demand for agricultural production, the effective management and use of water resources have become essential requirements for sustainable agricultural development. Therefore, the connection between research institutions, technology transfer organizations, and enterprises plays a practical role in bringing scientific solutions into real-world production.

With this spirit, in May 2026, STARS Water Center – Tra Vinh University and HM.CLAUSE Vietnam Co., Ltd., a company under HM.CLAUSE – Limagrain Group, France, carried out a series of visits and professional exchanges to better understand each other’s capacities, practical needs, and cooperation orientations in the field of water resource management and efficient water use for high-tech agriculture.

On May 15, 2026, a delegation from HM.CLAUSE Vietnam Co., Ltd. visited STARS Water Center. During the visit, the delegation was introduced to the Center’s research activities, technical consultancy, technology transfer, and practical application models in the fields of water and the environment. Models for water treatment using biological solutions, water circulation and reuse systems, and initiatives oriented toward sustainable development attracted strong interest from the company.

Through the visit, the two sides had initial discussions on issues related to water resource management, efficient water use in agriculture, and the role of science and technology in improving production efficiency. Representatives of HM.CLAUSE Vietnam highly appreciated the professional capacity and practical models at the Center, and expressed interest in the water-related technical solutions that STARS is currently researching and implementing.

Following this activity, on May 29, 2026, a delegation from STARS Water Center had a working session with HM.CLAUSE Vietnam Co., Ltd. at the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Agricultural Park. During the meeting, Dr. Tran Thi Ngoc Bich, Director of STARS Water Center, introduced an overview of the Center’s capacity in research, consultancy, design, and implementation of water-related technical solutions. She also shared several projects and practical application models that the Center has carried out.

On behalf of HM.CLAUSE Vietnam, company representatives introduced the organization’s activities in research, production, and crop variety development. The two sides exchanged views on water demand in high-tech agriculture, water-saving solutions, water resource management, and challenges arising during the production process. The STARS delegation also visited the research and production area at the High-Tech Agricultural Park, including net houses, greenhouses, and crop variety research areas.

The series of visits and professional exchanges contributed to strengthening the connection between STARS Water Center and HM.CLAUSE Vietnam Co., Ltd., creating opportunities for both sides to better understand each other’s capacities, orientations, and practical needs. This serves as an important foundation for maintaining professional exchanges, sharing experience, and exploring suitable cooperation opportunities in the future.

In the coming time, STARS Water Center – Tra Vinh University will continue to promote its role as a research, consultancy, and technology transfer unit in the water sector. The Center will also expand its connections with enterprises as well as domestic and international organizations, aiming toward the efficient use of water resources and the development of sustainable agriculture.
